How the ten are chosen

Ten vetted people, not a hundred CVs.

Every brief gets ten candidates from our pool, each with a note on why they fit. Enough to compare properly, few enough to read in one sitting.

From brief to ten, in four steps.

  1. 01

    We read your brief properly

A short call or form. Must-haves, nice-to-haves, budget, location, start date and what the team is like.

  2. 02

Everyone in the pool is scored

Skills, seniority, sector, budget fit, availability and location, weighted to what matters for your role.

  3. 03

A person checks the top of the list

We review the strongest matches ourselves and confirm interest and availability before anything reaches you.

  4. 04

Ten arrive, each with a reason

Anonymised profiles, each with a line on why we picked them.

On every profile

Everything you need to decide, nothing that identifies them yet.

  • Skills and sector. The ones that match your brief, highlighted.
  • Experience and location. Years in the discipline, where they are, how they like to work.
  • Why we picked them. One honest line from us, not a sales pitch.
  • Expectations and availability. Salary or day rate and when they could start.
  • One click to decide. Meet them, or pass with a reason that sharpens the next set.

The ones clients ask first.

Why ten and not three?

Three is too few to compare and fifty is too many to read. Ten gives you a real choice and a sense of the market, and you only meet the ones you pick.

How quickly will I get them?

Usually within [X] working days of signing terms. Niche or very senior roles can take a little longer, and we will tell you up front.

What if none of the ten fit?

Tell us why on each one you pass. We use those reasons to build another set at no cost.

When do I see names and CVs?

Once you ask to meet someone and they agree. It protects the candidate and keeps things moving.

Do I pay for the shortlist?

No. You only pay if you hire someone: 10% of the agreed fee, invoiced once.
